Cemetery Park Officer (London)

Salary: £25,437

We’re looking for a highly motivated individual who wants to play a key role in one of London’s most unique green spaces. As Cemetery Park Officer, you’ll play a lead role in the coordination and day-to-day planning of our successful and popular corporate volunteer programme. You will also take part in the delivery of educational activity sessions to school groups, walks for the general public (adults and children) as well as the being part of the dedicated team that care daily for the Cemetery Park.

We’re looking for a passionate, dynamic and organised individual with excellent communication skills, great interpersonal skills and a good understanding of local ecology.

The role is varied and will include delivering a wide range of green space improvement projects, working with volunteers, dealing with burial enquiries and community engagement.

The role will also take an active lead in organising, leading and implementing volunteer events within Tower Hamlets Cemetery Park and assist colleagues where needed.

We understand that the role of Cemetery Park Officer could be demanding, with a very varied workload, but we’re looking for an individual who likes a challenge and is looking to be part of a motivated team that works closely together to fulfil the vision of the charity as well as work independently. You should be confident in engaging with people and have some experience of working outdoors and delivering activities with the general public.

This is a full-time post of 37.5 hours per week
